july 30, 2015 World Day of the dignity of victims of human trafficking

"The first World Day of the dignity of victims of trafficking in human beings is a call to action to stop this crime and give hope to victims, often living around us while we know nothing about their fate. To stop the traffickers, we have to cut their funding streams and seize their assets. I urge all countries to ratify and fully implement the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime and its Additional Protocol to the human trafficking "

    Ban Ki-moon, UN Secretary-General

A global emergency

The UN invites us to reflect on the issue of modern slavery and it is true that this issue is at least 2.5 million people on the planet. These are both men, women children who fall into the hands of traffickers in their country and abroad. Slavery says 'modern' is comparable to what humanity could know the past and it is not only disgraceful in principle that by the abuse it generates.

The escalavage, whatever its form, has no place in this world!
